Our Mission:

To support Families during their

behavioral, emotional and mental health challenges.

Our Story:

The stigma of Mental Health is alive and well; those that haven't gone through the battle are quick to judge those going through it. Call it fear, ignorance or selfishness, it leaves the suffering to fight their own battle. As mothers whose children struggled emotionally and behaviorally, we found ourselves isolated and alone.  We had become warrior moms and at the same time we recognized the lack of resources and support for families.  Hence the birth of “warrior families support group”

Sharing our "stories" empowers each of us with hope, courage, determination, knowledge and the understanding that we are not alone anymore. The creation of the Warrior Families website is to expand our network to ensure that no family has to battle alone.

Through monthly support meetings and an active private Facebook page, we have created a community of families who support, educate, and empower one another through the sharing of our stories.

The creation of our Warrior Families Support Group is to ensure that no family has to battle alone.

When you have a child in crisis, you go to doctors. Lots of them. I learned more from my first Warrior Families meeting than all of those appointments combined. The first thing they did was listen intently to my story. After I finished telling everyone what was going on, everyone shared ideas about different doctors and practitioners, as well as parenting tactics that had worked for some. It was the combination of wisdom, compassion, and insight that had me hooked. But as good as it feels to get support from other mothers, it feels even better to pay it forward.
